TAP Designer Guide
The TAP Designer allows users to build workflows and automate their business processes. The designer contains many different functionalities which can be configured and combined in many different ways depending on the requirements of the business process that is being automated. This guide is meant to provide easy access to many of the knowledge base articles which review designer functionality and will help new users get acquainted with the types of functionality found within the Designer.
Stage Properties
A Stage is considered to be any point in time in which a form must be filled out or updated. Stages are represented by rectangles within the TAP designer. Stages can be assigned and completed manually by a user, or completed automatically and progressed without manual user input. The following is a list of properties and functionalities which can be configured on a stage:
Relationship Properties
A relationship dictates how a workflow progresses whenever a stage is completed and submitted. Relationships are represented by arrows within the TAP designer and will always connect one stage to another stage. Relationships can be configured to trigger certain actions and can also have routing rules assigned to them in the case of a stage having multiple possible relationships progressing from it. The following is a list of properties and functionalities which can be configured on a relationship:
Shared Properties
Some properties and functionalities can be configured on both stages and relationships. This means that they can be triggered either during the course of a form being filled out, or at a certain point in time within a workflow when the process proceeds down a specific relationship. Some Designer configurations are set at the top/header level of a workflow template and are not specific to individual stages or relationships. The following is a list of properties that are set on a per workflow level:
