Security Attributes

Suite security is highly customizable. The following security attributes may be set for an individual user or group of users:

Suite

Database Access – Allows you to restrict access at the table and field level of the database.

Allow Analysis Center Editing – Allows you to restrict access to Analysis Center for creating and editing ad-hoc reports if an SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence Platform integration has been purchased.

þÿ   The user must have a Business Objects account or access to Business Objects in order to be assigned this attribute.

Allow Hot Adds – Allows you to restrict access to creating records on-the-fly. If a user has this attribute enabled, the user can click the Hot Add button to create a new entity, person, etc.

Allow BI Launch Pad Access – Allows you to restrict access to Business Objects BI Launch Pad from Analysis Center if an SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence Platform integration has been purchased.

þÿ  The user must have a Business Objects account or access to Business Objects in order to be assigned this attribute.

Change Other Users’ Passwords – Allows you to enable the ability for a user to change other users’ passwords.

Duplicate Records Checking – Allows you to enable duplicate record checking. The system will perform a check when adding new people and entities and warn the user if the record already exists.

View Logs – Allows you to view the Diagnostics component log files that are not classified as security logs. You must be granted the Diagnostics Administration security attribute under Suite Manager to access the Diagnostics component.

View Security Logs – Allows you to view the login log files in the Diagnostics component of Suite Manager. You must be assigned the View Logs security attribute (above) and Diagnostics Administration security attribute under Suite Manager to access the Diagnostics component.

eCounsel

Allow Access to Accrual Notification Setup – Allows a user to configure an e-mail to be sent as a notification when matter accruals are due for all matters for which accruals are enabled.

Allow Changes to Paid Invoices – Allows a user to edit invoices with a status of “Paid”. Otherwise, a paid invoice is read-only to the user.

Allow Changes to Posted Invoices – Allows a user to edit invoices with a status of “Posted”. Otherwise, an invoice that has been posted to an Accounts Payable (AP) system is read-only to the user.

Allow Invoice Posting – Allows a user to use the Post button to post invoices in eCounsel.

Bridgeway E-mail Link Access – Allows a user to access matter and invoice information in Bridgeway E-mail Link.

Home Page Template Override – If home page templates are enabled, allows a user to add tabs and widgets or remove them from his/her own home page.

Limited Access Rights – Allows you to restrict access to matters so that the user can only view matters for which he/she is listed as an active player. The user ID must be associated with a person record and is still subject to private matter and logical group security.

Logical Group Access – Allows you to restrict access to the logical groups.

Private Matter Override Access – Allows a user to access all matters within a logical group (to which the user has access) even if the matter has been marked as private.

Report Access – Allows you to restrict access to report and document templates.

Reports Administrator – Allows the user to add, edit, reimport, or delete report and document templates in the Reports module in eCounsel.

Save Public Searches – Allows the user to save the criteria for a search to be used by all users.

Widget Access – Allows you to restrict access to the widgets that may appear on the eCounsel home page.

Wizard Access – Allows you to restrict access to wizards used to generate items such as new matters by copying, etc.

Secretariat

Entity Edit - Approve – Allows you to designate a user and/or groups of users to approve edits made to entities by users that have been assigned the Entity Edits - Restricted security attribute.

Entity Edits - Restricted – Allows you to restrict certain users and/or groups from making entity additions/changes that are committed to the database immediately. The entity edits made by users assigned this security attribute must be approved before the edits will appear in the product.

CorpCharts Access – Allows you to create ownership and subsidiary charts for an entity using CorpCharts.

Home Page Template Override – If home page templates are enabled, allows a user to add tabs and widgets or remove them from his/her own home page.

Reports Administrator – Allows the user to add, edit, reimport, or delete report and document templates in the Reports and Wizards modules in Secretariat.

Save Public Searches – Allows the user to save the criteria for a search to be used by all users.

WorldView - Unfiltered Selection Lists – Allows you to display the names of all applicable records in dropdown lists and searches regardless of WorldView site assignment. However, records may not be accessible.

WorldView - Site Access – Allows a user with Unlimited access to view all entities/people regardless of WorldView site assignment. (The user also can move entities/people from one WorldView site to another.) If access is restricted, the user can only view entities/people for the WorldView site to which he/she has access.

Report Access – Allows you to restrict access to report and document templates.

Widget Access – Allows you to restrict access to the widgets that may appear on the Secretariat home page.

Wizard Access – Allows you to restrict access to wizards.

Suite Manager

þÿ  The system account is the only user account that can access Suite Manager security attributes.

Accounts Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Users/Groups component of Suite Manager.

Authentication Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Authentication component of Suite Manager.

Diagnostics Administration – Allows the user to access the Diagnostics component of Suite Manager.

Dynamic Filters Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Dynamic Filters component of Suite Manager.

Home Page Template Administration – Allows the user to add access and configure the Home Page Templates component of Suite Manager.

Lobby Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Lobby component of Suite Manager.

Logical Groups Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Logical Groups component of Suite Manager.

Lookups Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Lookups component of Suite Manager.

New Matter Wizard Administration – Allows the user to create a new matter wizard.

Phases & Tasks Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Phases & Tasks component of Suite Manager.

Rules Engine Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Rules Engine component of Suite Manager.

Security Attribute Profiles Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Security Attribute Profiles component of Suite Manager.

Security Settings Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Security Settings component of Suite Manager.

System Settings Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the System Settings component of Suite Manager.

Tab Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Modules/Tabs component of Suite Manager.

Task Scheduler Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Scheduler component of Suite Manager.

Template Import – Allows the user to access and configure the Template Import component of Suite Manager.

Type Profiles Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Type Profiles component of Suite Manager.

Types Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Types component of Suite Manager.

User Defined Fields Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the User Fields component of Suite Manager.

Verify Data Root Folder – Allows the user to verify the data root folder in the System Settings component of Suite Manager.

View Profiles Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the View Profiles component of Suite Manager.

Widgets Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the Widgets component of Suite Manager.

WorldView Sites Administration – Allows the user to access and configure the WorldView Sites component of Suite Manager.

SuperViewer

SuperViewer Administration – Allows the user to configure and administrate SuperViewer.
