CSM Timekeeper Fields Mapped to Contact Records

When a Collaborati user makes an update to a Timekeeper data field, the update value is synced over to TeamConnect on the CSM timekeeper record. Furthermore, enabling the setting “Automatically update contact records with the latest Collaborati timekeeper information option” in CSM Settings will ensure updates to some of the key data fields on the CSM Timekeeper are then updated on the linked Contact record for the Timekeeper. This applies to all CSM Timekeepers that have enabled the settings to maintain individual contact records.

Changes to the CSM Timekeeper data fields (listed in the following table) will be automatically updated on the linked TImekeeper Contact record to the mapped data fields listed below:

Mapping Additional CSM Timekeeper Data Fields to Contacts - Mitratech Recommended Best Practices

Some TeamConnect users may want additional Timekeeper data fields to be mapped to the Contact record beyond the standard available fields provided.

Example: Mapping the Timekeeper diversity data fields to custom diversity data fields on the Contact record.

The CSM module should NOT be customized. This is noted in all published CSM release notes with the below message:

Important: Do not customize the object definitions that comprise CSM (CSM Settings, Timekeeper, Office, Firm, Tender Request, Budget Request, and Rate Request) in any way. Customized versions of CSM are not eligible for support.

For TeamConnect users that would like to map additional fields from the CSM Timekeeper record to the Contact record, the following general approach is recommended.

  • A custom mapping rule would need to be coded by Mitratech Professional Services, a Mitratech Partner, or similar resource.
  • This is not a specific “CSM Settings” rule, but would be a system level rule that would run via the TeamConnect Administrator Tools - “Scheduled Actions Monitor”.
  • Having the custom mapping rule at the system level in the “Scheduled Actions Monitor” ensures CSM is not customized and remains eligible for support.
  • The mapping rule can be scheduled to run at various intervals that align with the CSM Sync interval to check if any Timekeeper records were updated.
