Adding a Related Matter
eCounsel allows you to track other matters that have a connection to the current matter. Information from this tab will display on the Related Matters tab for people and entities.
To Add a Related Matter:
- Open the Matters module and add a new matter or edit a matter record.
- On the Related tab of the matter’s record, click the
New button.
- Click the
button next to the Related Matter text box and click on a matter name to select it.
- Select the type of relationship from the dropdown list.
- Click
Save to save your changes.
Information displayed in the Detail, Legal Area ,and Assignments areas is entered automatically from information entered in the related matter’s record.
