Release Notes for VendorInsight® 9.0.1

Production Date: Feb-07-2024

Description of Release: Major Release

Enhancements:

Task Automation Platform (TAP)

Through integration with TAP, clients now have the capability to connect with any workflow within TAP. TAP is a No-code automation software that transforms high-volume workloads into streamlined workflows. With seamless integration between TAP and VendorInsight (VI), users subscribing to TAP can connect a TAP workflow to VI and configure which data points are sent from VI to TAP or vice versa. As part of this release, we have enabled users to meet PCM requirements through TAP workflows. There's no longer a need for users to log in to TAP to initiate a workflow. Instead, these workflows can be started directly within VI itself, and documents can be sent seamlessly. Two new features have been introduced in the Tools menu:

  • Admin with Vendor Management Officers (VMO) and VMO access can establish a connection between TAP workflow and PCM in VendorInsight using the newly added TAP Authentication tab.
  • From the Setup TAP Connections tab, users can now create an integrated workflow to establish the bidirectional connection between VendorInsight and TAP. This provides the flexibility to add, edit/maintain, and search connections.

Additionally, users can now initiate the TAP workflow directly through a configurable link available on the Due Diligence Requirements screen.

There is a lot more to come in the upcoming releases within this space.

Report Updates:

The following changes have been made under the Reports & Analysis tab:

  • Introduced two new standard reports: Document Download Activity to provide valuable insights into report downloads and User Emailed Credentials Tracking to track and analyze email credentials more efficiently with added filter names. Additionally, the Email Action section now includes a default option "All" field, pre-selected to enhance the overall user experience.
  • Introduced two new dropdown options: Document Name Type for selecting Vendor Level/Contract Level Documents and Contract Status provides a comprehensive overview of the status of the contracts and it includes modified options such as All, Active Contracts, Archived Contracts, Pending Contracts, Inactive Contracts, and Denied Contracts.
  • The VRP Locked/Approved Log report now offers a thorough history of actions, with links to PDF/Excel versions for reviewing changes. Additionally, the alert message is updated upon Excel download.
  • The attached documents in the Vendor Questionnaire reports are now available on the downloaded report page in clickable format. For PDF documents, the link remains in the same tab, while other document formats open in a new tab.
User Interface(UI) Updates:
  • The New Document pop-up under the Oversight & Policy Compliance category is updated by adding the two new drop-downs called “Document Name Type” and “Fourth Party” to understand the Fourth Party documents.
  • Checkboxes have been included to allow users to download multiple documents simultaneously. Additionally, the system displays the count of selected documents along with the Download Selected Documents label link, enabling users to download the selected documents.
  • Enhanced the Vendor Questionnaires Management UI with the following changes to enable users to hide unwanted filters and columns.
    • Introduced new column names such as Vendor Name, Contract Name, Contract Owner, and Vendor Management Officers (VMO).
    • Placed buttons at the top of the page, featuring options like Search, Hide Filters, Display Columns (Viewing All Columns), and Export Data link.
    • Introduced a sorting functionality for individual columns.
Role Alignment and Access Updates:
  • In this release, we have updated the application to align roles between Researchers and Auditors, providing them equal access privileges. As a result, Researchers now have access to the following areas:
  • Archive Document Search: Allows viewing and searching for details of archived files.
  • Access to Enterprise Vendor Metadata, Document Approval, Vendor Evaluation, and Vendor Monitoring & News.
  • Risk Assessments: Permits viewing completed Vendor Risk Assessments (VRA).
  • Tasks & Remediations: Enables viewing details of remediations.
  • Vendor Alerts: Allows viewing details of alerts.
  • Able to view the VRP Collaboration Management screen.
  • Performance Assessments: Grants access to view completed Vendor Performance Assessments (VPS).
  • Document Approval: Access to view the workflow status, with read-only access to all workflows. This includes viewing information, comments, and attached documents. However, users are restricted from deleting or updating existing workflows or creating new ones.
  • The Admin can now access sections like Vendor Evaluation and Roles without needing VMO access.
