Onboarding Materials for Corporate Clients: Collaborati Settings

Some settings are enabled in TeamConnect or other (Enterprise Legal Management) ELM.  See ELM guidelines for more information about these settings.

Budget Collaboration

Allows clients to send budget requests to Collaborati so that vendors can send the requests back to clients with updated budget amounts.

Budget Sharing

*Not currently being used with new client implementations. More information here

Alternative Fee Arrangements

Allows clients to add alternative fee arrangement information to matters connected with a budget. Should not enable this field unless the client has purchased the AFA module for clients on TC 4.x and prior versions.

Available for clients TC 6.x and later versions and without extra purchase

Rate Collaboration

Allows vendors to submit rate requests for approval so that clients can approve or reject suggested rates and use accepted rates for invoice validations.

Rate Sharing

Allows vendors to view Timekeeper and Office Rates that the client specifies for each Office/Vendor on the Rates page for a timekeeper and the Rates page of the Clients tab.

International Line Item Tax Detail

Allows the vendor to specify taxes for each line item, which is commonly used for international e-billing.

Tender Collaboration

Allows the vendor to utilize tender request functionality with clients to effectively bid on a particular service. Although available to users prior to CSM 4.0 Update 4 (4.0.4.), it is, in practice, only functional for CSM 4.0 Update 4+ clients. For more detail, see the CSM 4.0.4 Release Notes.

LEDES File Archiving

 Allows users to archive LEDES files in order to meet compliance needs and/or prove the invoices are unable to be edited. Must be turned on in CSM. First available in CSM 4.0 Update 2, users are suggested to only use this feature with CSM 4.0 Update 3+ as that version incorporates full security around the functionality.

 Allow Rate Requests for Timekeeper Invoice Task Rates

Default setting to ON. Allows clients to restrict the types of Rate Requests that can be submitted by their offices. When the feature is Disabled (turned Off), offices can only submit Type: Timekeeper Rates. (Does not restrict the Office Rate.) More information here.

Enable LEDES Invoices with charge_type = F*

Default setting to OFF. When turned ON, Firms can submit Invoices with charge_type = F which allows for line items with a fixed fee. *Due to current limitations in Collaborati, the @FEE.charge_type is not shared with TeamConnect and other ELM.

Require Matter ID for all line items on LEDES file including IE/IF This setting should be required for all eCounsel clients.
