When converting an old version of a form to a new version of a form, will text that I typed in the old form that did not originate from the database map to the new form? Will I have to reselect values for fields in the Form Prep screen?

No, text entered in a field contained in the old version of a form that did not originate from the database will not map to the new version of the form.  Field values in the Form Prep screen also need to be re-selected when converting a form from the old version to the new version.
