E-Verify Training Basics and FAQ

The E-Verify Training 

USCIS E-Verify requires that all Employers who utilize E-Verify ensure their user are sufficiently trained in the E-Verify process. To help client meet these requirements, Tracker I-9 makes a training course available to users who are configured to use E-Verify.  The E-Verify training courses provided by Mitratech in the Tracker I-9 application are built from documentation provided by USCIS E-Verify to ensure they meet USCIS E-Verify requirements.

Please note that the E-Verify FAR training is only required for federal contractors with an FAR E-Verify clause.  If your organization has such a clause, and you are configured accordingly, your users will see both the regular E-Verify training and the E-Verify FAR training as required.  Organization that are not Federal Contractors with a FAR E-Verify clause will only see the regular E-Verify training.

FAQ

  1. Q: A user has completed the E-Verify training but their final score is not reflected in Tracker I-9.
    • A:  If a user times out of the Tracker I-9 Complete system while taking the E-Verify or E-Verify FAR training it can prevent their score from updating in Tracker I-9 Complete.  However, the Training system, powered by Scorm.com, does still record their progress and they can have their final score resent to the Tracker I-9 Complete system.
    1. Log into the Tracker I-9 system
    2. Select the training in the Required Training Notification.
    3. Click Proceed to Training.
    4. If you have completed the training already it will take you to the Quiz Results page of the training.
    5. On the Quiz Results page you may click the Continue button to have your final score resent to the Tracker I-9 Complete system.
  2. Q: A user is unable to access the E-Verify Training, what is the issue and how can it be fixed?
    • A:  This is most likely being caused by the user's security settings blocking the training site and the site will need to be whitelisted.  To ensure that your browser will not fully or partially block the training application we recommend adding the following URLs as trusted sites in your browser and if necessary whitelisting for your network.
    • Please be aware that if these URLs are partially or fully blocked it can result in the training not loading, or prevent the training system from recording your progress in the training application.
  3. Q: How can I access or create a report showing the status of my user's E-Verify Training?
    • A:  Please follow the steps below to access the User Training Report.
      1. Log into the Tracker I-9 Complete system as a Client Admin.
      2. Select System Configuration from the Admin Control Panel.
      3. Click on the Training tab.
      4. Select User Training Report.
      5. Within the User Training Report, you may filter the report results or search for specific user by their name.
        • Filter Options:
          • Training
          • Employer
          • Worksite
          • Security Group
        • Hide Inactive Users (If this box is checked only active user will be included in the report results)
        • Hide Not Required Trainings (If this box is checked only required trainings will be included in the report results)
        • Hide Passing Test Scores (If this box is check users who have successfully completed and passed the training will not be included in the report results)
        • Export to Excel (Clicking this will export the reports to an excel file)
  4. Q: Why is my user taken to the Training required page when they access Tracker I-9 from a bookmark of favorite even though they have completed the training?
    • A:  In every instance we have seen of this behavior it has been due to the user Bookmarking/Favoriting the Training Required Alert.  To address this we recommend the user delete the Bookmark/Favorite they have created for the Tracker I-9 application, then navigate to the Tracker I-9 site directly and login, this will take the user to the correct dashboard page for Tracker aI-9 and they can then Bookmark/Favorite the Tracker I-9 dashboard.
    • When a user is using a Bookmark/Favorite for the Training Required Alert page, and has completed the required training with a passing score, they will see a page like this when they log into the Tracker I-9 system.
