El Paso Release - January 2026
What's New?
Form I-9
Animated File Uploads Restricted
Animated files are no longer supported in the Tracker I‑9 application as attachments. Users attempting to upload an animated file will now see a validation message directing them to provide static images instead. This update ensures proper rendering and complete data visibility when file attachments are downloaded or printed.

Section 1 Employee Information Standardization on Section 2 and Section 3 Pages
Section 1 Employee Information has been updated to consistently display Other Last Names Used instead of “Other Names.” The Social Security Number and Date of Birth fields have been removed from Remote Section 3, and alignment issues with the citizenship status value have been corrected for clarity.

Employee Profile Data Sync Update
When enabled, the “Employee Profile Inherits Form I‑9 Data” feature now only applies to I‑9 Complete and Remote Access I‑9 records. Employee Profile fields will no longer be automatically updated from Historical I‑9 or I‑9 Resolve records, ensuring data remains accurate and consistent. The tooltip has been revised to highlight this change.

Email Reminders
Enhanced Email Alert Requeuing for I‑9 Managers
I‑9 Managers now only receive Standard and Escalated alerts that are configured for their provisioned Security Role and tied to the Employee Profile records they have permission to access. The system automatically requeues alerts whenever Security Roles or permissions change, the I‑9 Manager on an Employee Profile is removed or updated, or Employer/Worksite values change. This ensures newly eligible managers begin receiving alerts while ineligible managers stop receiving them, with both Standard and Escalated time intervals respectfully. When roles, permissions, or Employee Profile records change, reminders are sent based on the updated permissions, ensuring alerts remain accurate and applicable.
API
The Enable Mobile Device Access for I‑9 Managers column has been removed from the database. This update reflects the retirement of the feature and ensures the database structure aligns with the mobile‑responsive application.
What's Fixed?
- Fixed an issue where the E‑Verify Case Details report displayed blank information for closed cases after a new case was submitted.
- Fixed an issue where the Section 2 Due alert did not update when the employee's start date was changed.
- Fixed an issue where Tracker I‑9 incorrectly displayed certain E‑Verify cases as Employment Authorized after resync, even though E‑Verify closed them due to incorrect data.
- Fixed an issue where users were unable to update the start date in Section 2 for I-9s in the I-9 Pro + E-Verify workflow when the Network Alliance workflow was disabled.
- Fixed an issue where reverification emails failed to send to I‑9 Managers and employees due to incorrect system handling.
- Fixed an issue where records designated for removal intermittently appeared on the "E‑Verify/I‑9 Comparison Report".
Looking Ahead
We’re building the foundation for a smarter, more intuitive I-9 experience, with a strong focus on applying AI to simplify how documents are uploaded, reviewed, and managed.
In the coming months, our work will focus on reducing friction for employees, improving consistency across I-9 workflows on desktop and mobile, and introducing intelligent automation to support more accurate and efficient document handling behind the scenes.
These efforts reflect our broader vision to modernize I-9 compliance through practical, responsible use of AI. While these capabilities are still in development, we’re excited about what’s ahead and will share updates as they become available.
