Berlin Release – August 2025

What's New?

Form I-9

List A Document Name Enhancements

The List A document name has been updated from Temporary I-551 Printed Notation on a Machine-Readable Immigrant Visa (MRIV) to Foreign Passport with Temporary I-551 Printed Notation on a Machine-Readable Immigrant Visa (MRIV), along with text alignment adjustments in Section 2 and Section 3. When this document is selected, two document tiles will be displayed (one for the foreign passport and another for the MRIV), and if the I-9 process requires Remote Document Inspection (RDI) image capture, four tiles will be presented for front and back pages. Additionally, labels have been updated on the new document selector for Section 2 and Section 3 as well as on the Employee Document Upload (EDU) page.

Move I-9 Feature Temporarily Disabled During Remote Workflows

The Move I-9 feature is now disabled under the Administrative Options menu for I-9 Managers with permissions whenever remote workflows are in progress, preventing remote links from breaking. It will be re-enabled once the remote workflow is completed. A hover-over message on the option will display: "The Move I-9 feature is currently disabled as there are remote actions associated with this Form I-9 record that are currently in progress. The feature will be enabled once those remote actions have been completed."

Label Refinement for Remote Section 3 Workflow

Updated the labels to enhance visibility and understanding of when a remote reverification is in process, awaiting completion by the Authorized Representative. The following changes apply when an I-9 Manager accesses the Form I-9 record in the application:

  • Section 3 will be displayed as Remote Section 3
  • Form I-9 Section 3 - In Progress will be displayed as Form I-9 Remote Section 3 - In Progress 182362.PNG

New Validation for “Date of Rehire” Field

Section 3 Amendments now allow I-9 Managers to edit the “Date of Rehire(if applicable)” field. If the new date exceeds three years from the original Section 2 Signature Date, a validation message will appear: "Date of Rehire cannot be more than 3 years from the date when the Form I-9 was originally completed." The Update button remains disabled until validation passes.

I-9 Custom Report Enhancements

I-9 Custom Reports now include two new export fields for selection: List A Additional Document (Section 2) and Section 3 Additional Document (Section 3). These fields are accessible in report versions for Distributor Admin and I-9 Manager personas, enabling users to quickly identify employees with additional employment authorization documents that were presented when Section 2 and/or 3 of their Form I-9 was completed.

Employment Status Always Visible on Form I-9

The Form I-9 Summary page has been updated to always display the Employment Status module for all record types when the permission “5.1.5 – Enter Termination Date” is OFF. However, I-9 Managers are restricted from checking the Employee is Terminated box, entering a termination date, launching the date picker, or using the Update button, as these features remain disabled.

Enhanced I-9 Audit Trail Tracking for Supplement A and B (Versions 12 & 13)

Updated the Electronic I-9 Audit Trail to accurately capture changes to Supplement A and Supplement B header fields, when applicable. Enhancements include improved tracking of amendments, manual edits, and data imports to ensure complete compliance visibility. Entries clearly reflect when the fields were populated and who made the changes.

Network Alliance Appointment Status Enhancement

The Network Alliance appointment status now displays correctly across the Tracker I-9 UI and reports. When Section 2 has been completed but is later identified as incorrect, and the appointment status is updated to any of the four statuses (IncompleteExcused, IncompleteExcusedPan, IncompleteExcusedOtherVendor, or IncompleteExcusedTestCenter), the “Remote I-9 Appointment Date” now shows CheckedOut instead of “Re-schedule Pending” on the Form I-9 page on desktop,  Form I-9/Basic Info page on Mobile, and on the I-9 Custom Reports results page. The “Last Session Status” now reflects “Session Attended – Section 2 Completed”, and the “Scheduled Appointment Date/Time” now displays the actual last appointment date and time instead of “Re-schedule Pending” on the Network Alliance Usage Report.

Co-Branding Available at Client Level

The Enable Co-Branding feature is now available for Clients linked to a Distributor and can be turned ON or OFF by System Admins or Distributor Admin - All Access users. Once enabled, the Co-Branding tab is displayed, allowing users to manage branding configurations. Settings are inherited from System or Distributor levels but won’t be overwritten once set at the Client level. Turning the feature OFF prompts confirmation that client-specific Co-Branding settings will be lost.

What’s Fixed?

  • Fixed an issue where completed Form I-9s were incorrectly prompting users to approve Section 2 documents when navigating to it, even though the documents had already been reviewed.
  • Fixed an issue where the E-Verify/I-9 Comparison Report was incorrectly indicating an I-551 number mismatch with a blank I-9 value field, even though the Card Number for Permanent Resident Card document types was present but displayed incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue where a system error message was displayed after clicking the "Open" button for a record in the E-Verify/I-9 Comparison Report or the "E-Verify/I-9 Comparison" button on the Summary page of Form I-9.
  • Fixed an issue where I-9 Manager(s) were unable to upload front and back images of the Permanent Resident Card during Section 3 reverification.
