When uploading files, client receives the following error: Document Upload Error: File Exists. Please choose a new unique name


Document with filename in question still exists on hosted file server, even if the record in Secretariat had been deleted by the client. In some scenarios a client may be trying to attach a document with the exact same filename to two different entities in Secretariat. This results in the above referenced error because when using a file store as the document repository all documents must have a unique filename even when attached to different entities (records)


Clients are advised to append a unique identifier based on entity to the document that was being shared by multiple entities.
