For historical and compliance reasons, Bridgeway does not recommend that data be deleted. With that being said, records can be deleted from Secretariat as long as all related links to those records have also been deleted/removed. Because it is difficult to determine exactly where each record is linked, these deletions are normally done via script, which, depending on the complexity of the script, may come at a cost. Also, before a script can be written to delete records en masse, the records must contain a common defining denominator that will define them as the records to be deleted (e.g., the word DELETE in a common field within the record).
