Smart Invoice is Mitratech’s electronic invoicing product that automates the receipt, approval, and payment of legal expenses, integrating fully with the Collaborati e-Billing portal and eCounsel matter management system.
Collaborati is the secure, Mitratech-hosted e-Billing portal that over 11,000 law firms and vendors use to submit electronic invoices and related documentation to corporate clients who are using Mitratech’s legal management solutions. These products work together to deliver complete outside counsel collaboration domestically and internationally with industry-best security standards.
Collaborati supports two methods of electronic invoicing:
- The vendor can enter invoices into Collaborati by attaching a LEDES format file. The LEDES file (which may contain multiple invoices) remains in Collaborati and the data is retrieved by the eCounsel matter management system.
- The vendor can enter invoices into Collaborati directly.
Using scheduled tasks, eCounsel imports the invoices and related information, providing a comprehensive system for tracking activities and costs associated with all legal matters.
