Manage All Active Holds

This page details the information that can be viewed and actions that can be completed from the Tile View and List View options in the Manage All Active Holds page.

Where to Find a List of All Active Holds

An active hold simply means a hold that is in-progress. Active holds have been sent to recipients and are in the process of collecting responses and relevant information. Users must have access to Manage Holds to view this information.

To Navigate to the Active Holds Page:

  1. Log in to your LegalHold instance. 
  2. Select the Manage Holds tile, then select the All Active Holds link. 

Tile View

All active holds are displayed in individual tiles rather than in a table. Holds will appear in this page after they've been sent to recipients.

What Actions Can I Complete from this Page?

  • Edit/View Notice a hold by selecting the EditHold_Icon.png icon.
  • Add/View Recipients by selecting the AddReciepient_Icon.png icon.
  • Add/Edit Reminders and Escalations by selecting the AddEditReminder_Icon.png icon.
  • Release Hold by selecting the ReleaseHold_Icon.png icon.
  • View Response specifics by selecting a response bar. Scroll to the bottom of this page for further detail. 
  • View History option provides the history of the Hold 
  • Create a new hold by selecting the Create New button in the top-right of the page. 
  • View the Hold Summary page by selecting the Hold Name hyperlink.
  • Switch to List View by selecting the List View icon in the top-right of the page. 
  • Navigate pages by using the Navigation Arrows. NavArrows.png
  • Search holds using the search bar at the top of the page. Search by Hold Name, Hold Number, Matter Name, or Matter ID
  • Manage Collections directs the hold to Custodial and Non-Custodial page of collections.

View How Many People have Responded to a Hold

Viewing holds in the tile view allows users to quickly see progress on hold responses. Each hold shows a progress bar for the Recipients without Responses, "Yes" Responses, "No" Responsesand "Unsure" Responses (if applicable).

Quickly view the following information:

  • Hold Name
  • Matter Name
  • Priority
  • Number of respondents for each category (shown as a % and a numerical value)
  • Total number of recipients the hold has been sent to.

View Specifics about Hold Responses 

Select any hold response progress bar to open a detailed page containing specifics about each response. From this page, you can toggle between the Notice Response Status, Hold History, Notice Versionsand the Questionnaire Analysis tabs for the hold.

List View

Go to Manage Holds All Active Holds. And choose list view by clicking the List view icon. All active holds are listed in a table.

Click the arrow icon next to each header to choose the required sort from the page. And you can choose the number of entries to display in this page by selecting the number from the dropdown list between the ‘Show’ and ‘entries’. 

What Actions Can I Complete from this Page?

  • Edit a hold by selecting the EditHold_Icon.png icon.
  • Add Recipients by selecting the AddReciepient_Icon.png icon.
  • Add/Edit Reminders and Escalations by selecting the AddEditReminder_Icon.png icon.
  • Release a Hold by selecting the ReleaseHold_Icon.png icon.
  • Create a new hold by selecting the Create New button at the top-right of the page. 
  • View the Hold Summary page by selecting the Hold Number or Hold Name hyperlinks.
  • Search for a released hold by using the search bar at the top of the table.

Where to Find a List of Holds with Preservation Notices

For active holds, you can toggle the display of responses in Tile or List View from hold recipients to data stewards who have received preservation notices for a particular hold. Simply enable the Preservation Notices toggle to view responses from data stewards. See View and Analyze Preservation Responses for more information.

How to use filters in All Active Holds?

To make use of filters in all active holds, Go to Manage HoldsAll active Holds.

In the page appears, click on the dropdown arrow to choose the required filter as follows:

  • All : All the active holds can be seen 
  • Pending Approval: holds that are pending approval 
  • Approved : All the approved holds can be seen 
  • Last sent by: Holds are sorted by the last sent person’s name.

Save the current status/query

Note : You can search for a particular hold by entering the Hold name or number in the search field provided. And whenever you login back after some time, the system saves the current status/ query, and you will be there at the same point where you left the page.
