System Requirements

Collaborati 3.5 is compatible with the following products:

  • All versions of TeamConnect and CSM
  • Lawtrac 4.1 (and later 4.x releases)
  • LawManager 6.5
  • eCounsel 8.10 and later 8.x releases

Collaborati 3.5 is supported on the following browsers

  • Mozilla Firefox (Latest Version)
  • Google Chrome (Latest Version)
  • Internet Explorer (Version 11 or later)

Changes and Enhancements

The following items are changes or enhancements built into Collaborati 3.5. Each issue is documented in the following format:

  • A description of the enhancement
  • Additional information, if applicable


Enhancement: Alternative Fee Arrangements (AFAs) are now visible to the vendor at time of submission and available to export for reporting purposes.
Additional Information: This feature is enabled through a new AFA module, the existing module does not support this functionality. AFAs are now tied directly to matters, and are classified as “Fixed”, “Capped”, or “Other”. This will decrease the amount of workarounds vendors currently have to use to adhere to client guidelines and increase satisfaction.


Enhancement: The Rate Requests page now features icons in the “Request Status” column that notifies users of rejections or adjustments made on a line-item basis.
Additional Information: Users with appropriate permissions can see icons in the “Request Status” column that indicate that a line item has a status different than the overall Rate Request, or has been adjusted. A legend for these icons appears at the top of the page next to “Request Status”.


Enhancement: Users now have the ability to cancel Invoices, Budget Requests, and Tender Requests prior to the client’s system picking up the submission.
Additional Information: This process allows mistakes to be corrected prior to the sync, making submissions more accurate. Learn more on the Mitratech Client Success Center.


Enhancement: A “Save and Add New” button has been added to the manual Timekeepers creation page to provide a more efficient process to add multiple Timekeepers.

Enhancement: The Timekeeper page now displays the email address of each Timekeeper in the email column.


Enhancement: Required fields are now indicated while doing bulk uploads of Timekeeper and Rate Requests CSV files.
Additional Information: Previous versions of CSV files will continue to work for bulk uploads.


Enhancement: Clients have the option to prevent Timekeepers from submitting Invoice Task level Rates.
Additional Information: This will remove some complexity of the Rate Requests and management process while still providing functionality that will be most useful in the small/mid-market space.


Enhancement: [This feature is available, but will not be ready for use until the release of 3.5 Patch 1] Law firms can now be informed via email when a client has changed the status of a Rate Request.
Additional Information: Known defect exists that may cause duplicate email notifications. Will be resolved in 3.5 Patch 1. Users must opt-in to notifications through their email preferences. Emails will indicate the approval status, and if there are line item adjustments or rejections.

Issue: A bug that prevented users from appealing discounts on submitted invoices was resolved

Issue: When onboarding to Collaborati, new firms no longer have to set their password twice in a row after account creation.

Issue: Invoice rejection emails now include the client’s contact information to ease the invoice approval process.

Issue: The Invoice Preview and Submit page has been updated with a new user interface to provide a more friendly user experience.

Known Issues

The following items are known issues in the Collaborati 3.5 release. Each issue is documented in the following format:

Issue: While uploading Timekeepers, invalid email addresses do not trigger a validation message.

Issue: After clicking "Done" on a Rate Request without submitting, users can change Rate Request items to be conflicting and no validation message will appear

Issue: Can't set fields to null values when updating client Timekeeper profiles with 'Overwrite'.

Workaround: N/A

Issue: For Lawtrac, LawManager, and eCounseI clients, email notifications are not triggered when Invoices are auto-rejected at sync time.
