Related Object on Search Views from Setup

This section provides an overview of how to create user Related Objects search views to add required filters and results displaying no documents object search view within a matter record.

Here are the steps to create a related object on search views for documents in TeamConnect:

On the TeamConnect homepage, click the “Setup” icon at the top right side of the screen.

  • Clicking on it will open the TeamConnect Setup screen in a new window. From there, choose "Object Definition," which will bring up a screen displaying various objects.
  • Choose the Document object from the list of available objects and then click on the search views tab.
On the Search Views tab, click on the Create New Search View button to create a new search view.

Under the General tab, provide the required information related to the search view and users are required to select Related Object in the Used For field.

Under Filter Display and Results Display tabs add Search Qualifiers and Search results as per the requirements and click on Save and Close button.

The search views that are created under document objects that are used for related objects will display under the search views filter display tab.

 

How to Configure the document object search view in a matter?

In this section, we will provide the information about how to configure the document object search view in a matter record.

In TeamConnect, clients need to navigate to the matter record to access the document object search view. Select a matter from the list of matters displayed on the screen.

On the Matter record, select the Documents tab from the left navigation panel. The clients will see a screen displaying documents that are related to the matter.

Users will only be able to view document object search views when they click on   icon available on the screen.

A drop-down named View provides access to all the search views for document objects created in TeamConnect setup.

From the dropdown menu, clients can access the search filters added in teamconnect setup for matter related documents by selecting the required search view.
