Suite Manager

 

Enhancement: Lookup codes and timekeeper sync processes for Corridor are separated into different tasks.

Description: Lookup codes and timekeeper sync processes are used to run on a single task, but while timekeeper sync is a fast task that needs to run periodically, lookup codes is a lengthy task that requires running a few times per year. Therefore we decided to separate the tasks to improve the performance of timekeeper sync.

eCounsel

 

Enhancement: Split sync tasks for Collaborati into vendor, timekeeper, matter, and Lookup Codes.

Description: We have split the sync task into vendor, tImekeeper, matter, and Lookup Codes to reduce processing times and to synchronize lookup codes only when necessary.

Enhancement: Now eBill invoices set all adjustments as negative even when the user enters a positive amount.

Enhancement: Now the Invoice module contains a column that shows the Approver name along with the number of days since the approval request for invoices waiting for approval.

Enhancement: We have rearranged the DEI fields contained in the Timekeeper Export CSV file.

This release notes details the information related to enhancements, improvements, and resolved issues in Suite 8.11.16.2.

Suite

 

Issue: Security vulnerability allowed anonymous access.

Description: We fixed a security vulnerability that allowed anyone with a Suite landing webpage URL anonymous access to the database settings webpage. Now all webpages within Suite require SAML authentication.

Issue: Hosted Suite clients reported severe performance issues.

Description: We fixed a database issue in eCounsel and Secretariat. The issue was related to User Field queries taking too long without timing out.

Suite Manager

 

Issue: If Logical Group Access is unspecified for a Matter Restricted Wizard user, then the user doesn’t have access to logical groups.

Description: If a Matter Restricted Wizard user has the following permissions in User > Security Attributes > eCounsel > Logical Group Access:

  • Inherited Access: Limited

  • Override Access: Unspecified

  • Cumulative Access: Limited

Then the user doesn't have a Restricted Logical Group assigned in the Matter Restricted Wizard.

eCounsel

 

Issue: Vendors submitted timekeepers through Corridor but emails were sent to a different firm.

Description: Clients received timekeeper notifications in the Lobby, but the data was incorrect due to the firm submitting the timekeeper data to a different firm.

Issue: Collaborati Invoices task couldn’t import all invoices from Collaborati.

Description: The Collaborati Invoices task couldn’t import all invoices from Collaborati due to problems retrieving the invoice ID.

Issue: When the lookup code didn’t match the currency setting in Suite Manager, invoice amounts were set as a foreign currency with a conversion rate of zero.

Issue: Timekeeper Import CSV file with special characters uploaded incorrectly.

Description: When users tried to import a Timekeeper Import CSV file that contained special characters within the Latin alphabet, the characters were imported incorrectly.

Issue: Removing a Legal Staff role from a person in a hold can’t be synced between LegalHold and eCounsel. 

Description: In eCounsel integrations to LegalHold, if a user synchronized in Suite Manager a person with a Legal Staff role assigned, then the user set the person as a player, and then the user removed the Legal Staff role from that person, the user couldn’t “desynchronize” the Legal Staff role from the person in Suite Manager, but the changes were applied in LegalHold.

Secretariat

 

Issue:  Show Historical Records in Corporate Data Sheet (CDS) report now is deselected by default.

Description: The Parameters section in the CDS report had Show Historical Records selected by default. For ownership and subsidiaries, there isn’t Start Date and End Date information, which makes historical records difficult to obtain. To solve this issue, now Show Historical Records is deselected by default and Start Date and End Date information is included in the Direct Subs and Direct Owners reports when Show Historical Data is selected.

Suite Installation Instructions

  1. Stop the Bridgeway Suite application on the Java application server.

  2. Use Update Manager to install the Suite.8.11.16.2 update. 

  3. Restart the Bridgeway Suite application on the Java application server.

Database Script Instructions

 

  1. Use your preferred database tool (SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle RMAN utility, Oracle export data pump utility, etc.) to make a backup of your Suite database.

  2. Log in to your query tool as an administrative user.

  3. Open the appropriate scripts .ZIP file for your database:

◦ suite8.11.0.sp16.2-Scripts-Oracle.zip for Oracle databases

◦ suite8.11.0.sp16.2-Scripts-SQL.zip for SQL databases

  1. Open and run the SQL script.
