Enhancements

This service pack includes the following enhancements.

eCounsel

  • Now you can sort the Most Recently Accessed Matter widget by matters alphabetically or by last date accessed.

  • Lobby widget now has a search bar to filter by timekeepers, vendors, and other notification types.

  • Now, in Lobby widget, when importing and accepting an approved timekeepers file, eCounsel sends a verification message when the operation completed before deleting the file.

This service pack includes the following issue resolutions.

Suite

  • We fixed problems affecting UserFields with NULL values in rule Update Matter Player Rate 2.0.

  • We resolved some security issues related to cross-scripting.

  • We fixed an issue in which BOE sessions were duplicated when a user ran a report.

  • When the user clicked Begin in the Analysis Center, an error occurred.

eCounsel

  • We found an issue in which date-time configuration caused the Global Assign Wizard to fail. When date-time was set as day/month, and the user entered two-digit dates, for example, 02/03/2023, or one-digit dates, for example, 2/3/2023, the Global Assign Wizard failed upon completion due to a date-time error.

  • We fixed an issue in which certain SQL queries caused a memory overflow.

  • The New Matter Wizard couldn’t load templates that contained custom tabs and fields with special characters.

  • The T shortcut to enter today’s date didn’t populate the custom UserField.

  • We fixed an issue with scheduled searches by user.

  • We fixed an issue where eCounsel downloaded the same invoices several times causing them to be rejected in Collaborati.

  • We fixed an issue in which Entity could have a null Tax ID, which prevented scheduled jobs from running and caused desynchronization in invoice information between Corridor and eCounsel.

  • We fixed an issue in which the  Timekeepers Wizard didn’t detect changes to the DEI fields so it didn’t process any files.

  • We fixed an issue in which Tax on Fees, Tax on Expenses, and Total Tax displayed on the Invoice Summary didn’t match the Total Tax amount displayed in the LEDES file or the Invoice Base Info tab.

  • The Corridor Vendor Matter task synced with Suite timekeeper and matter records unrelated to the law firm.

  • We fixed an issue in which Vendors, Timekeepers, Codes, and Matters couldn’t sync Task or Activity codes when the Sync task ran. This happened when copying Vendors, Timekeepers, Codes, and Matters between different instances.

Installation Instructions

 

Suite Installation Instructions

  1. Stop the Bridgeway Suite application on the Java application server.

  2. Use Update Manager to install the Suite.8.11.15.3 update. 

  3. Restart the Bridgeway Suite application on the Java application server.

Boxir4 Installation Instructions

  1. Stop the Boxir4 application on the Java application server.

  2. Use Update Manager to install the boxir4-Suite.8.11.15.3 update.

  3. Restart the Bridgeway Suite application on the Java application server.

 

Database Script Instructions

  1. Use your preferred database tool (SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle RMAN utility, Oracle export data pump utility, etc.) to make a backup of your Suite database.

  2. Log in to your query tool as an administrative user.

  3. Open the appropriate scripts .ZIP file for your database:

  • suite8.11.0.sp15.0-Scripts-Oracle.zip for Oracle databases

  • suite8.11.0.sp15.0-Scripts-SQL.zip for SQL databases

  1. Open and run the SQL script.

Suite Manager Installation Instructions

  1. Uninstall the current instance of Suite Manager.

  2. Extract the files from the Suite Manager.zip file.

  3. Start the installation program for Suite Manager located in the directory in which the Suite Manager.EXE file was extracted.

  4. Click Next on the Welcome screen.

  5. On the License Key screen, type the license key in the text box and click Next.

  6. On the Choose Destination Location screen, confirm that the Destination Folder is the desired directory location for the program files.

  7. On the Start Installation screen, click Next to begin the installation process.

  8. A progress screen will display. You can abort the installation at any time by clicking Cancel.

  9. On the Installation Complete screen, click Finish.
