Suite integrates with HotDocs® to generate documents in the Wizards and Reports modules in Secretariat and the Reports module in eCounsel.

This document is provided for the convenience of Mitratech’s clients and only details the process of using HotDocs as it relates to Suite products. Prior knowledge of HotDocs is helpful in creating any custom templates. See HotDocs documentation for more information on HotDocs templates.

A single license for HotDocs Developer is included with the Secretariat license. It is optional and separately licensed for eCounsel. Contact Mitratech Support for licensing information.

Requirements

  • HotDocs Developer and Microsoft Word must be installed on each user’s computer that will be creating and publishing templates.
  • A HotDocs Server must be configured to execute the templates. Mitratech provides a hosted HotDocs Server solution. Contact Mitratech Support for more information.
  • A browser is needed to prepare the document in Secretariat and eCounsel.
  • Microsoft Word must be installed on each user’s computer that will be viewing the completed documents, which are generated as Rich Text Format (RTF) files.
