Can you further tailor an individual’s security permissions after you’ve set a permission profile for them? 

Yes, you can further refine an individual’s permissions even after you’ve assigned a permission profile to them. To further tailor the security settings for an individual follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the “People” tab
  2. Select “In-House Legal Staff”
  3. Select the individual whose permissions you would like to change
  4. Select “Matter Permissions or “Applications Permissions”
  5. Make the desired changes.

When adding a new department member, can I define the user name for them? 

Yes, you can define the user name for a new department member and ensure that all user names in your department follow a certain pattern. To define a new member’s user name, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to “Application Administration” and then “Add New Department Member” to add your new user.
  2. Once added, navigate to the “People” tab
  3. Select “In-House Legal Staff”
  4. Select the individual whose user name you want to change
  5. Select “Site Access”
  6. Make the desired changes.

Can you hide certain information when creating a new matter type layout? 

Yes, by modifying the matter template to suit your business needs, you can display the information that is most vital to your organization. To hide certain information in a matter template, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to “Application Administration” and then “Legal Hierarchy Maintenance” and create a new matter type.
  2. Select the new matter type you created
  3. Select the “Screen Layout” option
  4. Make the desired changes by using the arrows or the “x” boxes.
