Lawtrac allows users to easily copy the main elements of an existing matter to create a new one without having to go through the manual add matter process. To duplicate an existing matter, you will take the following steps:

• Navigate to matter you wish to duplicate
• On top right menu, select Modules tab
• Click Duplicate
• Select the appropriate matter prefix (the auto sequencing will use the next available number for that prefix)
• Select the checkboxes for the matter areas you want to be copied
• Note: Legal Hierarchy is required to remain the same, but you have the option to select what other parts of the matter to copy
• Click Continue
