Matter Number Sequence (matter has a -1)
Matter Number Sequence (matter has a -1)
If you create a matter and it has a -1 (dash 1) at the end of the matter number, the following may have occurred:
-
The matter number sequence was set to a specific number and someone changed another matter to be this number. Then a new matter is added without resetting the sequence number to the next number needed to skip the recent number used.
When the above occurs, there needs to be a review of the matter sequence numbers to ensure what the next number is. To avoid this, the user changing the matter number should have modified the next sequence number to be the next number needed.
You can take these steps to change the matter number for the -1 matter if needed.
