The Matter Numbers hyperlink in the Matter Maintenance sidebar allows site administrators and super users to modify or add new matter sequences to your Lawtrac database. You can also see the next available number in the sequence and its assigned security group.

• —Adjust the prefix name or number of a matter sequence; in the prefix details on the right, change the details in the text boxes and click Save Changes
• —Retire the prefix
• Restrict the use of prefix use by security group or type by selecting one of the hyperlinks and clicking all toggle switches to turn the group or type "on"  or "off" 
• —Reinstate retired prefixes
