In this article we will have a thorough look on Display Ribbon Buttons.

Allow Export

Export Values

This button enables the User to configure whether the search result values (which are returned when this Search Template is used in Searching Client) can be exported.

When the Export Values button is selected (highlighted), the User is allowed to export the field values of the search results in Searching Client (see “Export Search Results”).

When the Export Values button is not selected, if the Export Search Results (see “Export Search Results”) button is available in Searching Client, the Export Values options are unavailable in the window.

Note: When neither the Export Values button nor the Export Data buttons are selected in the Search Template, the Export Search Results (see “Export Search Results”) button is not displayed in the Searching Client.

Note: A User must still have Allow Permissions for Export From Applications. See “Permissions” for more information on Permissions.

Quick Export

This button enables the User to configure whether the Searching Client user can use the Quick Export button with the search result values (which are returned when this Search Template is used in Searching Client).

When the Quick Export button is selected (highlighted), the Quick export to Excel button is displayed when this Search Template is used in Searching Client. See “Quick Export to Excel”.

When the Quick Export button is not selected, the Quick export to Excel button is not displayed in Searching Client.

Note: A User must still have Allow Permissions for Export From Applications. See “Permissions” for more information on Permissions.

Export Data

This button enables the User to configure whether the search result data (which is returned when the Search Template is used in Searching Client) can be exported.

When the Export Data button is selected (highlighted), the User is allowed to export the documents which are returned from the search.

When the Export Data button is not selected, if the Export Search Results (see “Export Search Results”) button is available in Searching Client, the Export Data options are unavailable in the window.

Note: When neither the Export Values button nor the Export Data buttons are selected in the Search Template, the Export Search Results (see “Export Search Results”) button is not displayed in the Searching Client.

Print Data

This button enables the User to configure whether the search result data (which is returned when the Search Template is used in Searching Client) can be printed.

When the Print Data button is selected (highlighted), the User is allowed to print the data which is returned from the search.

When the Print Data button is not selected, the Print Search Results button (see “Print Search Results”) is not available in Searching Client.

Note: A User must still have Allow Permissions for Print From Applications. See “Permissions”  for more information on Permissions.

Email Data

This button enables the User to configure whether the search result data (which is returned when the Search Template is used in Searching Client) can be emailed.

When the Email Data button is selected (highlighted), the User is allowed to email the data which is returned from the search.

When the Email Data button is not selected, the Email Search Results button (see “Email Search Results”) is not available in Searching Client.

Note: A User must still have Allow Permissions for Export From Applications. See “Permissions” for more information on Permissions.

Document Routing Toolbar

This button adds the Document Routing Toolbar to the Search Template for Documents which have available transitions. See “Document Routing”  for more information.

Modify Index Values

This button enables the User to configure whether the Index values (which are returned when the Search Template is used in Searching Client) can be modified.

When the Modify Index Values button is selected (highlighted), the User is allowed to modify the documents which are returned from the search.

Note: A User must still have Allow Permissions for Modify Field ValuesSee “Permissions” for more information on Permissions.

Delete Data Items

This button enables the User to configure whether the search results’ data items (which are returned from a Search) can be deleted.

Note: Having permission to search data does not allow data items to be deleted. A user must also have permission to Manage Storage. See “Permissions” for more information. The Delete Data Items option (which also applies to Workflow) can also be made available via the programming API.

Show Find Text

This button adds the Find text box and navigation buttons to the Search Template once search results have been returned. See “Find” for more information.

When the Show Find Text button is selected (highlighted), the user can use the Find text box and navigation button to locate text in the search results. This also enables the user to navigate content full text and sub-search matches.

When the Show Find Text button is not selected, the user cannot use the Find text box to locate text in the search results. This also prevents the user from navigating through content full text and sub-search matches.

When a document is selected in the search results, it’s displayed at the same size of the previous document – its size is not changed.

To Width

When a document is selected in the search results, it is displayed so that the width of the document fills the display pane.

If the document is resized, when a new search is performed, the selected document is displayed so that its width fills the display pane.

To Height

When a document is selected in the search results, it is displayed so that the height of the document fills the display pane.

If the document is resized, when a new search is performed, the selected document is displayed so that its height fills the display pane.
