Scanning

In this chapter we show you how to scan your cheques.

Put the deposit slip and checks in the scanner so the deposit slip is scanned first. When the external application sends the check information to the Check Deposit application, the scanner scans the deposit slip and the checks.

In the example below, 3 checks have been scanned. Their values have been extracted and put in the Index fields.

The check information is displayed below the Home ribbon. This information is obtained from an external application and is used to verify the information on the deposit slip and checks.

  • Expected number of checks: 3
  • Expected value of checks: 3,000.00

When the Check Deposit application is run in manual mode, the check information is entered manually.

Click the green button to the right of the Expected number of checks text to configure the total number of expected checks.

Type the number in the text box and click OK to save the value, or Cancel to close the dialog without saving.

Click the green button to the right of the Expected value of checks text to configure the expected total value of the checks.

Type the number in the text box and click OK to save the value, or Cancel to close the dialog without saving.

Click the View Deposit Slip button to view the scanned deposit slip.

The image of the deposit slip is displayed, with the total value of checks displayed in an index field.
