Finding Role Permissions
In this article we define the Finding Role Permissions. Best to practice now by navigating to the Admin module, then select Role Permissions from the left sidebar menu.
The table below defines the Finding Role Permissions. Role Permissions can be found by navigating to the Admin module, then selecting Role Permissions from the left sidebar menu.
Note: Depending on the terminology used in your company's configuration, the terms Finding and Risk might be used. Both terms reference the same thing and can be used interchangeably.
Finding Module Enabled | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to access the Findings module. |
Finding Tab Enabled | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to access the Finding tab within the Findings module. |
Risk Register Enabled | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to access the Risk Register tab within the Findings module. |
Finding Register Enabled | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to access the Findings Register in the Findings module. |
Finding Dashboard by Entity/Org Unit Enabled | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to access the Dashboard by Entity and Dashboard by Project tabs in the Finding module. |
Allow View | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to open and view Findings. |
Allow Create | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to create new Findings. |
Allow Edit | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to edit Findings. |
Allow Delete | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to delete Findings. |
Allow Clone | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to clone Findings (copying its initial creation information). |
Allow Change Status | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to change the status of a Finding record. |
Allow Manage Default Findings | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to add, edit, or delete new default Finding templates. This is used to quickly create new findings that use a common format. |
Allow Add Control | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to add a Control to an Finding. |
Allow Add Action | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to add an Action to a Finding. |
Allow Copy to Risk Register | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to copy a Finding to the Risk Register. |
Allow Manage Confidential Attachments | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to View, Edit and Delete attachments marked as Confidential within the system. |
Allow View User Group Assignments | When selected, users assigned to this Role with this permission enabled will be able to view user group assignments within Findings. |
Allow Manage User Group Assignments | When selected, users assigned to this Role with this permission enabled will be able to create, edit, and delete user group assignments within Findings. |
Allow Manage Default Assignments | When selected, users assigned to this Role with this permission enabled will be able to add and remove assignments that are automatically assigned to newly created Findings. |
Allow Import | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to import Findings via an Excel file. |
Custom Dashboard Enabled | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to access a custom dashboard for Findings. |
Allow Associate Finding with GIS | When selected, the Users assigned to a Role with this permission enabled will be able to add a location to a Finding. |
