Add a Reference to an Action

In CMO, References are additional Events, Actions, Documents, Findings, etc. that relate to what they're attached to (in this case, the Reference is attached to an Action). References can be added to Actions from the Action Details screen. 

Note: The Add Reference: Action business rule must be enabled for users to add References to Actions. 

  1. Log in to your CMO application and navigate to the Actions module.
  2. Click on an action name to open the Action Details Screen.
  3. Locate the Operations menu on the left hand side of the screen.

    Click Select Reference from the Operations menu to associate an existing Reference to an Action.
    Click New Reference from the Operations menu to create a new reference.

If Select Reference is selected:

  • Select the type of reference that will be added to the Action from the drop-down menu that appears.
  • Different screens will appear depending on which option is selected.
  • Fill in the required information for the respective reference that was selected and save it to the Action.

If New Reference is selected:

  • Select the type of reference that will be added to the Action.
  • The New screen will appear for whichever option is selected.
  • Fill in the required information for the respective reference that was selected and save it to the Action.
