Private Matters
Private Matters
In 2024 Acuity released the ability to make a matter (or claim) private and assign it to designated individuals for all create/read/update and delete operations.
If you are a member of the Privacy Access User Group, you will be able to access Private Matters in your assigned Practice Areas.
How do you know if a matter is Private?
- A lock will display to indicate the matter is only visible to authorized users
- You can toggle a matter back to Public, which means the previous matter restrictions apply. i.e. Only authorized firms can access and/or Client Users assigned to the corresponding permission group
- Members of this group will have an option to create a Private matter:
- Click the Claim Settings tab to view who has permission to the matter:
Note: If you need to be a Manager or Member Of the Private Matter Permission Group, reach out to Acuity Support and we can help get you started
