Enhancement: Unsent Hold Page Improvements
Description: Added the ability for Legal Hold admins to export all holds in Unsent status to a CSV file. The export includes Primary Internal Contact, Secondary Internal Contact, and Created By fields, enabling bulk reporting without manual navigation.
Updated the Unsent Holds grid view to display these fields by default. Removed the Priority column and added multi-select filters for Primary Internal Contact, Secondary Internal Contact, and Created By.
Exports now respect the current user’s organizational access permissions. User preference settings are also applied to this view.

Enhancement: Primary Outside Party Legal Staff & Variables
Description: Added the ability to designate a Primary Outside Party from the Legal Staff page using a radio button. A new checkbox is also available when adding legal staff; only one member can be designated as the primary at a time.
The following variables are now available across hold notices, preservation notices, response pages, and data steward response pages. These variables resolve correctly in previews, test emails, and sent notices:

• Primary Outside Contact (Name)
• Primary Outside Job Title
• Primary Outside Phone
• Primary Outside Email
• Primary Outside Organization

Enhancement: Primary Internal Contact Is Now Required
Description: The Primary Internal Contact field on the Hold Summary page is now required. This ensures that all hold notices include a valid primary contact so custodians know who to contact with questions.
If the field is left blank, a validation message prompts you to provide a contact before saving. Existing holds without a Primary Internal Contact require one to be added the next time they are edited.
Integrated read-only matters are not blocked if this field is blank.

Enhancement: All Holds View for Streamlined Hold Lookup and Data Export
Description: Added a new All Holds view that displays holds across all statuses (Unsent, Active, and Released) in a single page. This  view includes search, filtering, sorting, and customizable column display options. An inline filter panel lets users quickly narrow results, while user-specific column preferences can be saved and reset to the default layout when needed. 
Additionally, Legal Hold administrators can now export records directly from this view to a CSV file. The export respects all active search queries, applied filters, and customized columns across all hold statuses.

Enhancement: Rename Additional Fields in People List
Description: Added the ability for administrators (including IT Admin, Hold System Admin, and Non-Hold Admin) to rename person field labels in the People Module.
Administrators can now customize the display labels of generic person fields (Field 1 through Field 10) to match their organization’s terminology. Renamed labels:

• Appear consistently across the UI
• Persist across sessions
• Can be reset to default names at any time

The underlying system field names remain unchanged.

Enhancement: People List, Customizable Filters and Column Displays
Description: Users can now customize the People List grid by determining column visibility, arranging their display order, and selecting which columns function as filters.

Users can select, add, remove, and reorder columns based on any person detail field, including fields with custom labels. These configurations are saved to the individual user profile, providing a consistent and personalized data review experience. To maintain readability, the grid supports displaying up to 12 selected columns at a time and provides guidance when the selection limit is reached.

Enhancement: Custom Report Designer Displays Renamed Person Field Labels
Description: The Custom Report Designer now reflects your organization’s renamed labels for the ten custom person fields.
Previously, these fields appeared with their default names (for example, Custom Field 1). Now, the field picker, report preview, and exported CSV headers display the renamed labels. For example, if Custom Field 7 is renamed to Department Code, that label appears consistently throughout the reporting experience.
Fields that have not been renamed continue to display their default names.

Enhancement: Platform Upgrade for Improved Security and Compatibility
Description: Upgraded LegalHold’s underlying application framework, along with key supporting libraries and the database driver.
This upgrade improves the platform’s security by addressing known vulnerabilities in end-of-life dependencies and enhances compatibility with modern infrastructure. It also lays the foundation for future enhancements.
No changes to existing functionality or workflows are expected; all features continue to operate as before.

Enhancement: Streamlined Recipient Selection in Create Hold Workflow
Description: Improved the process for adding recipients in the Create Hold workflow.
The Add People search field in the Recipients step now supports multi-select functionality, replacing the previous requirement to add individuals one at a time. This enhancement allows users to select and add multiple people simultaneously, reducing the time and effort required to configure holds for large groups.

Description: The Custom Report Designer now includes the Collections object.

Description: Added new customization options for escalation notice templates, allowing administrators to control which hold-related details are included in manager escalation notifications. This enhancement helps organizations align automated communications with internal confidentiality and privacy requirements by providing greater control over the information shared with managers.

Enhancement: Microsoft Purview & M365 Data Integration in Custom Report Designer
Description: Users can now select Microsoft 365 (M365) Status and Microsoft Purview fields when creating reports in the Custom Report Designer. This enhancement includes the following new fields across reporting objects:

• People Object: Added OneDrive URL (onedrive_url).
• Legal Hold Object: Added Purview Case Name (purviewCaseName), aligned with the Hold Summary view.
• Recipients Object: Added eDiscovery Custodian ID (ediscovery_custodian_id), Purview Hold Status  (ediscovery_preserve_status), Preserve Mailboxes (preserve_mailboxes), Preserve OneDrives (preserve_onedrives), Preserve Teams (preserve_teams), and Error Handling Included (error_handling_included).

If an active, authenticated M365 connection is not established, the new Purview fields for the Recipients and Legal Hold objects will remain hidden.

Enhancement: Search and Filter by All Person Fields in Custom Report Designer
Description: You can now search and filter the People List using all available person detail fields, including previously unexposed fields. Any custom or renamed field labels configured by an administrator are displayed consistently across the search and filter interface, allowing you to quickly locate custodians using accurate criteria.

Description: We improved accessibility across Legal Hold workflows to enhance keyboard navigation, screen reader support, status message announcements, and content reading order. These updates help users interact more effectively with the application and support compliance with WCAG Level A accessibility requirements.

Bug Fixes

Issue: Error When Pasting Long Text into Select Options (Question Repository)
Description: Fixed an issue where pasting text longer than 255 characters into a Single Select or Multi-Select option field in the Question Repository caused an error. Input is now limited to 255 characters to prevent this issue.

Issue: "List View" Navigation Redirects to Wrong Page
Description: Fixed an issue where selecting List View under Manage Holds in the navigation (hamburger) menu redirected users to the Tile View instead of the List View.
The link now correctly opens the Active Holds List View, ensuring consistent navigation between hold layouts.

Issue: Scheduled Tasks Fail on Year-End Boundary
Description: Resolved an issue where scheduled jobs could become stuck when running on December 31, causing automated tasks to stop executing without notifying administrators.

Issue: Unable to Send Holds
Description: Fixed an issue that prevented hold notices from being sent after HR data updates were processed in LegalHold, resulting in an error during hold delivery. Hold notices now process and send successfully.

Issue: Interview Questionnaire Response Digest Sends Duplicate Notifications
Description: Fixed an issue that could cause duplicate interview questionnaire response digest emails to be sent to recipients assigned multiple roles. Digest notifications now send a single email as intended, and associated template variables resolve correctly.

Issue: Teams Channel Data Sources Remain In Progress After Synchronization
Description: Fixed an issue where certain Teams channel data sources could remain in an "In Progress" state after custodian synchronization, preventing hold status from being updated correctly. Site channel data sources now synchronize successfully and transition to the appropriate hold status when a hold is issued.

Issue: Custom Report Designer Fails to Generate Reports When Combining People and Collection Fields
Description: Fixed an issue where reports in Custom Report Designer could fail to generate or download when People fields were combined with Collection fields in the same report. Report queries now correctly retrieve data from both field types, allowing reports to be generated and downloaded successfully.

Issue: Scheduled custom reports ignore applied filters when run as scheduled tasks
Description: Fixed an issue where scheduled custom reports ignored configured filters when executed automatically as scheduled tasks, causing reports to return unfiltered data. Scheduled reports now correctly apply all specified filters upon execution.

Issue: Microsoft 365 Purview hold status remains in "pending" when holding more than 100 non-custodial SharePoint (NCDS) sites.
Description: When a legal hold includes more than 100 NCDS sites, Purview automatically splits the hold policy into multiple policies. Previously, the Purview Custodian Status Sync Task only evaluated the original hold policy and ignored any secondary policies created during the split. This caused the status check to stall and leave the hold status in a "pending" state. This issue is resolved. The sync task now properly tracks and synchronizes all generated hold policies across both hold and release operations.

Issue: Custodian On-Hold Status Not Preserved During Profile Updates
Description: Resolved an issue where updating a custodian's profile or employment status caused hold tracking flags to be reset to NULL, incorrectly clearing their active hold state. Custodian hold statuses are now fully preserved when profile details are modified, whether through manual edits, HR Feed updates, or Early Termination workflows.
