LegalHold 3.6.0 Release Notes

This release notes details the information related to Enhancements, Improvements, and Resolved Issues in LegalHold 3.6.0 release. And This release introduces a range of exciting and highly requested features aimed at enhancing the LegalHold workflow for our clients:

  • Added Teams as a data source in LegalHold-M365 Integration: New data source ‘Teams’ incorporated in the eDiscovery Custodians Tab, enabling the ‘Initiate Preserve’ button to select Teams locations ready to be placed on ‘hold in Purview’ and sending the hold out, places the Teams locations on ‘hold in Purview’ Portal. 
  • Improvements in the Custom Designer Report: The new improvements in the Custom Report Designer allow users to retrieve the existing custom fields, display them in the UI, and save the pre-formatted query into the database. And also to retrieve the pre-formatted query and apply new logic to construct the query using custom fields. New functionalities for custom field settings. The  'AND' or 'OR' logic toggle allows the user to apply logic to more than one selected date filter.
  • The variables Network ID and Contact Me are added at various places to improve usability: The people form and ‘Add Recipient’ page of hold creation are added with a new field Network ID allowing a client to submit a Network ID, for preservations, collections, etc. And also added as an OOTB variable. The new upgrade enables users to search and sort Network IDs on the people grid. And the Contact Me variable is set to enable from the global setting, for the Email and Hold Notice templates. And also added as a button on the notice email sent out to the custodian. 
  • We have updated the escalation mail for a non-response of a custodian with a CC option: The attorney for the manager escalation is updated by adding a CC option if a custodian is not responding to a hold. On the escalation task under scheduled tasks, we have added toggles to include the primary and secondary internal contacts as CC options. 
  • Several UX Improvements: In addition to the above features, this release also includes several modifications to improve the user satisfaction and usability of the product.

Enhancements/Improvements

Enhancement:  Improvements in Custom Report Designer 
Description: We have improved the Custom Report Designer to retrieve the existing custom fields, display them in the UI, and save the pre-formatted query into the database. And improved to retrieve the pre-formatted query and apply new logic to construct the query using custom fields. Also, improved by adding functionalities for custom field settings. Enhancement:  Modifications in Legal User’s access
Description: The option to select the Primary Legal Contact and the Legal Staff is limited only to Legal Users.

Enhancement: UI Modifications in Legal Staff step 
Description: Delete icon set to gray-out in Legal Staff step, when the staff members come from the ELM integration.

Enhancement:  Added Teams as a data source in LegalHold-M365 Integration

Two Microsoft graph permissions need to be updated, and actual clients must change the permission from User.Read  to User.Read.All

Enhancement: Added new field Network ID in Manage People
Description: We have updated the people form by adding a new field allowing a client to submit a Network ID, as this is used for preservations, collections, etc. Added the Network ID feature in the ‘Add Recipient’ page of hold creation and also added Network ID as an OOTB variable. Enhancement: Added Contact Me variable to the hold templates.
Description: The new Contact Me variable is set to enable from the global setting, for the Email and Hold Notice templates. The variable is added as a button on the notice email sent out to the custodian. When the user clicks on the button, it takes to the Contact Me page for that hold.

Enhancement: The Active hold status buckets have been updated to exclude inactive participants from the category of recipients without a response, in order to achieve 100% compliance.

Enhancement: Releasing inactive recipients without response.
Description: The new improvement enables the user to release the inactive recipients without responses.  This can be done by selecting the custodians and clicking the ‘Release Custodian(s)’ button, users will be redirected to the ‘Release from Hold’ page.

Bug Fixes 

Issue: Fixed the issue of error messages appearing with a large number of records and when clicking on export CSV/PDF.

Issue: Fixed some security issues.
Description: We have fixed some security issues, by creating input data validation for malicious content before encoding output. We have set up web response messages for account enumerations

Issue: Fixed the issue in generating new data preservation notice when adding a new silent custodian, by altering the logic.
