Excel Reports Produces Blank Sheet

Description: Unable to export reports to Excel, receiving a blank Excel document

Resolution:
Microsoft recently released an update which is preventing Excel spreadsheets from opening when downloading or importing to Excel from a browser. The following is a workaround to address this issue.

  • Open MS Excel
  • Go to File > Options
  • Click Trust Center (from the menu on the left)
  • Click the 'Trust Center Settings' button
  • Click Protected View (from the menu on the left)
  • Remove the check mark next to "Enable Protected View for files originating from the internet"
  • Click OK
  • Click OK
