I am not able to view the matter even though our firm is assigned to the matter. What am I missing?

Only Firm Administrators are able to view firm assigned matters by default. Non-admin users must be assigned to the matter in order to access the matter record. Due to privacy/security reasons, we cannot assign you to the matter assignment. Either the client or the Firm Administrator (if firm has been granted with permission by the client) should be able to assign you to the matter record. Thus, please reach out to them directly for this request.
