Product Updates - June 2025

1. GovNoticeIDP Enhancements

Applicable Editions: Enterprise, Professional

Applicable Country Subscription: United States of America

Applicable Users: For firms subscribed to GovNoticeIDP

In February 2025, Mitratech introduced GovNoticeIDP — an AI-powered solution solution purpose-built to streamline and automate the processing of USCIS government notices.

By automating what is traditionally a manual and time-consuming task, GovNoticeIDP helps legal and immigration teams improve accuracy, reduce administrative overhead, and accelerate case processing. To learn more about GovNoticeIDP, refer to this article.

Based on feedback from clients and insights from early adopters, we’re excited to introduce the following enhancements in the June 2025 release.

I. Automated Renaming of Notices Processed by GovNoticeIDP

Notices processed by GovNoticeIDP are now automatically renamed according to a standardized naming convention, improving context and making it easier to identify related records directly from the file name.

File Name Format: [Notice Type]-[Form ID]-[Case Sponsor]-[Matched INSZoom FN Name]

This automated renaming process will be applied to notices uploaded by GovNoticeIDP in the following areas of the application:

  • Case Receipts

  • Case/FN Documents

  • Documents attached in external stakeholder communications

  • Scanned notices exported from the GovNoticeIDP grid view

For notices uploaded as separate files while creating batch, GovNoticeIDP Admins can choose to either apply this standardized naming convention or retain the original file names. To enable renaming for separate files, navigate to GovNoticeIDP > Settings > Data Handling > Default File Name for Processed Notices and enable the setting.

Note: This setting only applies to notices uploaded as separate files during batch creation. Notices uploaded as merged PDF will always use the standard naming format, regardless of this setting.

II. Exporting Scanned Notices as Individual Files

With the June 2025 release, Mitratech has enhanced the export capabilities for scanned notices. Previously, selected notices were exported as a single combined PDF. Now, GovNoticeIDP users can export each scanned notice as an individual file, making it easier to import them into document management systems or other tools for record-keeping.

Additionally, users can now export scanned notices from the Unsupported and Requires Attention categories, enabling easier offline review and manual follow-up. To streamline functionality, the Export Scanned Notices option has been removed from the Matched, Unmatched, and Queued for Processing categories. However, users can still export the grid data from these categories to support review and follow-up actions.

Note: Notices uploaded as merged PDFs during batch creation will automatically use the standardized naming format. For more details, refer to the ‘Automated Renaming of Notices Processed by GovNoticeIDP’ section in this article.

III. Managing Access for Government Notices uploaded to Case Receipts

Firms using the new receipt management interface can now configure default user access to notices/documents uploaded through the Receipt Module. This enhancement gives firms centralized control over who can access documents uploaded to Case Receipts, whether added manually or via automation.

Access Configuration Path: Setup > Portal Setup > General Settings > Access for Uploaded Documents > Receipt Module.

This access configuration applies to both

  • Notices/documents uploaded to Case Receipts manually by firm users

  • Scanned notices automatically uploaded to Case Receipts by GovNoticeIDP.

Notes:

  • This functionality is applicable only to firms using the new receipt management interface.

  • As part of this enhancement, the configuration label under the ‘Access for uploaded documents’ section is modified to ‘Document Source’ from ‘Document uploaded by’ for improved clarity.

2. SOC Code Library Update (for ‘All Industries’)

Applicable Editions: All

Applicable Countries: United States of America

Mitratech has completed an update to the SOC (Standard Occupational Classification) code library in the INSZoom. This refresh replaces the previously used 2018 SOC codes for the ‘All Industries’ category with the latest data from the U.S. Department of Labor’s FLAG portal, using the OFLC_Wages_2024–25 dataset.

These SOC codes (for 'All Industries' category) are available for use in the INSZoom Questionnaires and to subsequently e-file applications to the FLAG portal.

3. USCIS Form N-600 e-Filing Updates

Applicable Editions: Enterprise, Professional, Standard

Applicable Countries: United States of America

Mitratech has implemented necessary updates to maintain compatibility with recent changes to the myUSCIS portal for online Form N-600 (Application for Certificate of Citizenship).

E-filing functionality has been restored, allowing users to submit Form N-600 electronically through INSZoom without additional configuration.

4. I-485 PDF Form Enhancement

Applicable Editions: All

Applicable Countries: United States of America

The I-485 PDF form (Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status) has been enhanced to conditionally populate the 'Current Mailing Address' based on responses provided in the associated questionnaire.
Data from questionnaire/application is populated only if the response to “Is this your current mailing address?” is marked as ‘No’, ensuring accuracy and contextual relevance.
