Getting Started with GCD for Outlook

This how-to article provides users with details on requirements, login, and installation for the GCD for Outlook plugin.

Getting Started with GCD for Outlook

GCD for Outlook is a plugin for Microsoft Word® for Windows that provides integration with GettingContractsDone.com.

The GCD in Outlook plug-in provides four options for interacting with GCD:

  • Sending the email to a GCD inbox.
  • Creating GCD Actions
  • Attaching emails to a GCD Folder
  • Attaching emails to a GCD Document

Click the respective checkbox to create a tab in the GCD for Outlook interface. The "Just send the email to a GCD inbox" will cancel out any other selected options (and vice versa). All options will send the email to your GCD inbox.

Installing GCD for Outlook

  1. Click here to download the Outlook plug-in.
  2. Once downloaded, run the setup.exe file. The plug-in will be installed. When you restart Outlook, you will be prompted for login information. Provide your GCD login name and GCD password. Note: Password is case-sensitive.
  3. Open Outlook and you should see a tab at the top labeled "GCD".

GCD for Outlook is designed to operate with Outlook 2010, 2013, and 2016.

Note: Make sure you have added admin@gettingcontractsdone.com to your address book and the gettingcontractsdone.com domain to your spam filter's white list. All system messages will come from admin@gettingcontractsdone.com, so this step will help ensure that you receive those messages.

Requirements for GCD

GCD for Outlook requires 32-bit Microsoft Outlook® for Windows or later. GCD for Outlook is compatible with 64-bit Windows, provided that a 32-bit version of Microsoft Outlook® is installed.

GCD for Outlook is designed to operate with Outlook 2010, 2013, and 2016.

No version is currently available for Macintosh users. Storage and memory requirements are minimal. GCD requires a broadband Internet connection.
