Test Current Configuration - Test Configuration

In this chapter you will learn all about the Test Current Configuration option, its terms and their meanings.

The Test Current Configuration option enables you to test the current Data Definition with the selected files.

Note: Only Content fields can be tested. That is, fields which have the option Values are extracted automatically (not externally provided) selected. See “Field Selected – Input Source.

The items shown in the Test Configuration pane are described in Table 76.

Meaning

Select fields to test

Lists all the Standard and Transaction fields that have been created as part of the current Data Definition.
Select the fields you want to use to test the current Data Definition.

  • Document – toggles the selection of all Document-level fields.
  • Page – toggles the selection of all Page Level fields.
  • Transaction – toggles the selection of all Transaction fields.

Select test data files

Lists all the test data files that have previously been opened to test the configuration of the current Data Definition.

Select the test data file(s) you want to use to test the current Data Definition.

  • Add file(s) – Click to open a new test data file. A window is opened which enables you to browse to the required location and select the document you wish to open. Click the Open button in the window to load the selected test data file.
  • Remove file(s) – click to remove a file from the list of test data files.
  • Run test – click to start the test of the current configuration of the Data Definition. The selected fields are tested against the selected test data files. The results are displayed on the Test Results tab on the left.
