Duplicating a Rule

You can have only one rule for each client ID, and only one client ID per rule. If you have an existing rule that you want to apply to another client ID, you can duplicate the rule.

To duplicate an existing rule:

  1. On the Rules page, click the Duplicate icon in the Actions column for the existing rule. Alternatively, you can click the Copy button when you are viewing a rule.
  2. The Create New Rule page opens, populated with the information from the existing rule.
  3. Type a unique name for the rule and make your edits to the rule according to the steps for creating a new rule.
  4. When you are done, click Next, review your selections, and click Save.

Now any matter that is entered into Viewabill with the specified client ID is automatically shared with or assigned to the specified user. The rule now appears on the Rules page.

Note: Only administrators can perform these tasks.
