TeamConnect TCBI On Premise customers - all clients have been sent remediation instructions

TeamConnect TCBI Hosted customers:

  • In order to get you back on line as quickly as possible, a TeamConnect reboot may take place during business hours.  We expect 10 minutes or less of downtime.
  • We are progressing through all production environments and expect to be done by end of day tomorrow; we will be notifying customers in advance of a ~4 hour window when your maintenance will take place.  We will notify immediately if there will be any further delays.

Updates 4/15 11:15 am Central

We have received an update from Sisense that indicates 1) the exposure, thus far, pertained to certain clients of Sisense cloud applications, and 2) they have no evidence that any on premise installations (which includes installations hosted by Mitratech) were impacted. Mitratech does not use Sisense cloud products. Based on the latest information we have from Sisense on April 14, 2024, Mitratech-hosted client data does not appear to be impacted. Sisense's investigation is ongoing and impacts could change.

PLEASE NOTE:  Mitratech has been monitoring all potential breach points within our networks and we have had no incidents to indicate outside access of any client data.

TAP Analytics Customers

We expect the TAP Analytics 2.0 Production environment to be back online later this evening.  The version 1.0 environment is still being evaluated.

TeamConnect On Premise Customers

We will be sending out instructions for on premise customers to remediate their environments later today.  If you have questions or concerns - please submit a ticket via the TeamConnect Communities page and tag SISENSE in the ticket description.

TeamConnect Hosted Customers

In order to complete remediation related to the Sisense Security Advisory from Apr 9, 2024, we must reboot your production and non-production TeamConnect environments.  In order to get you back on line as quickly as possible, this reboot may take place during business hours.  We will make every attempt to provide you with a window during which TeamConnect will be unavailable for ~5-10 minutes.  This work will be ongoing over the next few days - we are working as quickly as possible to get everyone back online.

If you have questions or concerns - please submit a ticket via the TeamConnect Communities page and tag SISENSE in the ticket description

Update 4/13 11:38 am Central

As of Friday night Sisense has indicated the incident impacted data on servers in Sisense's cloud but has found no evidence that on-premise data (this includes Mitratech hosted as well as self-hosted) was impacted.

At this time we are still moving forward with our plan to keep Mitratech Hosted Sisense servers offline until recommended remediation steps have been followed.

Update 4/12 2:00 pm Central

To our TCBI and TAP Analytics customers -

Regarding the Sisense Security Advisory:  we do not suspect any data exfiltration at this point. Mitratech had been alerted to a potential issue with Sisense (CISA). Mitratech has deployed Sisense on its own servers and Mitratech manages its own security controls for the servers. Still, the CISA alert triggered us to follow our standard operating procedure and reach out to our clients.

While Mitratech uses Sisense, Sisense has not indicated that any customer data has been impermissibly accessed. Also, Mitratech has seen no impermissible access to the Mitratech Sisense environment.

In an abundance of caution, all Mitratech Hosted Sisense have been taken offline to perform the recommended remediations. Mitratech has been working to rotate all relevant credentials on internal Sisense systems. Systems will be restored once the actions are complete.

We are closely monitoring Sisense communications for updates.  If any additional information changes our opinion of the situation, we will update the posting on this page.

NOTE (added at 4:04)

Hosted TeamConnect clients and TAP Analytics clients - Once Mitratech has finalized remediation steps, we will begin the process of updating all client environments.  You do not need to submit a ticket for this activity.  However, if you would like to have one for tracking purposes or if you have any other questions, please feel free to do so. We will continue updating this page as we have more information.

On Premise TeamConnect clients - we will provide remediation documentation as soon as we have it finalized

Update 4/12 7:50 am Central

All Sisense servers for TCBI and TAP Analytics in Mitratech Hosted environments have now been shut down.  We continue to work on remediation steps based on Sisense directions and will update here when more details are available.

Summary 4/11/2024

To our TCBI and TAP Analytics Customers -

In reference to the Sisense announcement earlier today regarding the Security Advisory - please be advised that Mitratech staff continue our investigation and planning for full remediation.

In the meantime, and with an abundance of caution, we are taking immediate action to disconnect direct internet access to our Sisense servers until the necessary steps can be performed on each environment.  We are taking this step to prevent any potential risk to your data until remediation is completed.

What this means for TeamConnect Hosted customers:  All TCBI dashboards will be temporarily unavailable until completion.  We will shortly be publishing steps for clients to access Native reports as an alternative while Sisense is unavailable.

What this means for TAP:  TAP Analytics will be temporarily unavailable until completion.

For all on-premise customers: We will publish remediation steps as soon as we have validated them.

We at Mitratech take your data security very seriously and are working through this process as quickly as we can.  We have created this web page to keep you informed of our progress.

Please note that neither TeamConnect nor TAP logins have been compromised as a result of the Sisense incident. There is no need to reset TeamConnect or TAP passwords.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this situation.  If you have specific questions, please submit a ticket to our Support team via the TC or TAP Communities page and include SISENSE in the ticket subject; we will reply as quickly as we can.

Regards,

The Mitratech Support Team
