Connections Settings

You can configure proxy authentication settings from the Connections page. Depending on your network configurations, proxy authentication may be required for your application to connect to Mitratech's server when viewing the Available Updates (see Viewing Information About Available Updates).

Proxy authentication information on this page is used when connecting to Mitratech's Available Updates server, and when the Collaborati Spend Management feature connects to Collaboration.

The Collaboration Portal is designed to allow secure access to your TeamConnect instance from outside of your firewall. For more information on this feature, contact Mitratech Support.

Setting Up Connections

The following steps describe how to configure the Connections page from Admin Settings. Field descriptions are provided in a table below.

To set up Connections

  1. Select the Admin tab.
  2. Click Admin Settings under the tab bar.
  3. Click the Connections link in the left pane.
  4. Edit the fields based on descriptions in the Admin Settings - Connections Page fields table.
  5. Click Update.

Field Names and Descriptions

Default Value

Enable Proxy Authentication—To require TeamConnect to perform certain connections through a proxy server, select the check-box.

Disabled (check- box cleared)

Proxy Host Name / IP Address—Enter the node name, or IP address, by which your proxy server is known on your network.

None

Proxy Port Number—Enter the port number on which your proxy server listens for requests.

None

Proxy Username—Enter the user name which authorizes your requests to the proxy server.

None

Proxy Password—Enter the password which authorizes your requests to the proxy server. Enter plain text. (The password is stored in a secure format in the database.)

Proxy Realm—Enter the name of the realm that is associated with the protected area, for example, yourcompanyname.com. The realm name should be ASCII characters, with no spaces or punctuation except a hyphen (allowed only in the middle of the realm name) or a period.

Enable NTLM Authentication—If you check this setting, all requests to the proxy server will use the username and password that you use to log in to your operating system domain. Any values in "Proxy Username" and "Proxy Password" will be ignored when NTLM is enabled.

Disabled (check- box cleared)

NT Domain—If NTLM Authentication is selected, enter the name of the NT domain against which your client should be authenticated.
