System Requirements

To install CSM 6.2 you must be running TeamConnect 6.2 or later

After all requirements are met, perform the upgrade from the Available Updates block on the About page in TeamConnect. For more information about how to install, refer to the Upgrade Considerations and Notes below.

Important: Do not customize the object definitions that comprise CSM (CSM Settings, Timekeeper, Vendor, Budget Request, and Rate Request) in any way. Customized versions of CSM are not eligible for support.

Upgrade Considerations and Notes

This section provides upgrade requirements and considerations for CSM 6.2. Details about the compatibility requirements for CSM and TeamConnect, and the related upgrade procedures, are available in the TeamConnect 6.2 Installation Help for your respective update.

CSM 6.2 has the following upgrade requirements:

  • Users must upgrade from CSM version 6.1 or later
  • Users upgrading from 6.1.1 patch 2, 3, or 5 will need to rename the following .jar files in TeamConnect before upgrading to 6.2.0:
    • Current Name: Top Level»System»Libraries»collaborati-remote-3.9.1.jar
      • Rename to: collaborati-remote-3.7.0.jar
    • Current Name: Top Level»System»Libraries»collaborati-rest-client-3.9.1.jar
      • Rename to: collaborati-rest-client-3.7.0.jar

Important: The upgrade will fail if these files are not renamed.

  • If you are using the Oracle 10g JDBC driver, you must include the following setting in the JVM argument on the server on which TeamConnect is deployed:
    • Doracle.jdbc.V8Compatible=true

New Features

The following features have been introduced in CSM 6.2. Each new feature is documented in the following format:

Give Users in CSM visibility into Firms and Firm Structure – Epic: COLL-9049 and COLL-10004

Through the CSM tab, a TeamConnect client can see how Firms are structured in Collaborati.

Enhancement: A new portal pane has been added for “Firms” on the CSM home page that shows the number of new firms that need to be mapped.

Enhancement: The Firm structure updates upon sync with Collaborati so that new profiles in a Firm are visible and old profiles in a Firm are removed.

Enhancement: When a Firm record is deleted on the Collaborati side, it is removed from CSM.

Enhancement: Created the Firm object in CSM (CSM Object Model). The core CSM Object Model has been added to TeamConnect within the CSM Settings Object.  The Firm itself will be created as a child object of CSM Settings.  In addition, the Vendor Relationship will be managed by making a Firm Custom Object field on the Vendor Object.  Settings fields will need to be added for Opt In and Update Contact.

Enhancement: For each Client-Firm relation to a TeamConnect environment, the Firm will sync from Collaborati to TeamConnect. If the Firm does not exist yet, a new Firm record will be created with fields to sync. If the Firm does already exist, the Firm fields in TeamConnect are updated to match the corresponding field values from Collaborati. These fields are: Firm Name, Firm Tax ID, Phone, Email, Country, Address 1, Address 2, City, State/Province, Zip/Postal Code. Firm sync should also sync associated Vendor information.

Enhancement:  In CSM Settings, there is now an Opt-in to auto-create or auto-update Firm records. The checkbox fields are “Automatically create new contact records with Collaborati firm information” and “Automatically update contact records with the latest Collaborati firm information.” These fields are only available to the CSM Admin group. Access is controlled by making the block visible to the CSM Admin group and not the CSM Management group. If the CSM sync is running, the fields are not editable. The block for these fields is titled “Firm Settings”. If either or both boxes are checked, the Firm contact cards will either be created or updated upon CSM sync.

Enhancement: A field for Firm has been added to the Vendor object in CSM Settings. This field is visible out of the box. When this field is populated, a user can search for a firm relation from the Vendor object.

Enhancement: When mapping a Firm to a Contact record, a rule will validate that the Firm is not already mapped to another Contact record.

Enhancement: Under the Firm page in CSM, there is a tab which lists all Vendors associated with the Firm. Fields include Vendor Name, Tax ID, Currency, Mailing Address, Status, Contact and Modified On. For each Firm record, the user can only see those Vendors that are Authorized Vendors and Active Authorized Vendors.

Enhancement: Firm details are now available through a tab in CSM. A user can see the Firm Name, Contact (with a link to their contact card), Company Tax ID, Phone, Email, Mailing Address Info.

Enhancement: A new Firms tab is available in CSM Settings. This tab shows a table listing all Firms associated with a Client. Fields include Firm Name, Mailing Address, Phone, Email, Contact and Modified On. The columns can be sorted and the data can be filtered by “CSM Firms”, “Mapped” and “Unmapped.”

Enhancement: A new block called Firm Information has been added to the Vendor tab on the CSM screens showing the Vendor/Firm relation. The Firm information is read only and links to the Firm record.

Enhancement: CSM Admin security rights have been updated to include rights to view the new Firm object.

Enhancement: For TeamConnect clients using Essentials, the Firm Information block has been added to the Vendor Management View on Vendor.

Enhancement: A Firm profile can accommodate up to 5 contact email addresses.

Enhancement: Users can map Firms with a simplified wizard that can search contacts and view a contact record when a value is already entered in the field. Clicking “Finish” will complete the wizard and map the Firm to the Contact. Note: Mapping the Contact is optional, not required.
