A party is an individual while an entity identifies a company, location, group (such as a union), or an abstract article. The hyperlinks in the Parties sidebar allows users to manage the Party module.

A Party can be:

• A subordinate individual to one or more entities
• An individual who can be associated to a matter but who is not associated to an entity
