The volume of data within every organization continues to grow exponentially, not only increasing costs, but posing significant risks in the event of a privacy breach or cyberattack. Information Governance has emerged as the “shiny penny” with the promise of a cross-disciplinary approach to bring governance and control to an organization’s data. However, there is no magic wand, and good information governance requires a balanced “people, process, and technology” approach. This session will help participants understand the fundamental challenges today, why workplace trends contribute to those challenges, and how technology-enabled solutions can provide much needed relief. Specific case studies will illustrate how others have succeeded.
