Updating Phases and Milestones

How to use the new phases and milestones UI

Case managers may view the phases and milestones at the top of all case pages. 

Select a phase to open the phase details page in the process module page.  Users may enter milestone dates, internal and external deadline dates, completion dates, and mark phases as complete.  If you update a milestone date, it is important to remember to click Save to update the case phase state. 

As phases are completed, they will change to green. 


Linking Milestones to Phases

Milestones are configurable to be linked with Steps & Reminders. A step in a case/petition can be linked to only one milestone.

Upon completion of the step which is linked to a milestone, the corresponding phase will be marked as completed as well. 

The following are the list of milestones with their respective phases: -

Initiation Welcome Mail Sent
Data Collection Minimum Requirements Finalized from Employer
Data Collection Send Questionnaires and Document checklist to client(s) 
Data Collection Client questionnaires completed
Data Collection Received and reviewed all Client documents/information 
Data Collection Information received from Employer 
Case Preparation Request Education Evaluation
Case Preparation Education Evaluation received
Case Preparation Case drafted 
Review Case reviewed 
Review Forms and support letter(s) sent for signature 
Review Signed documents received from client 
Filing Case prepared and filed with Govt. Agency 
Filing Receipt Notice received 
Decision Final decision received 
Decision Decision notification to client 
Decision Close Case 



Note: To use this link feature, the case manager will first have to configure these milestones under Steps & Reminders at KB or Case level.
