Product Updates - June 2024
1. Updates to USCIS Processing Times Integration in INSZoom
Applicable Editions: Standard, Professional, Enterprise
Applicable Country Subscription: United States of America
Understanding case processing times is crucial for firms/ applicants to understand how long it typically takes to process benefit requests and when they can contact USCIS with questions about their case.
As part of the June 2024 release, the integrated USCIS processing times within INSZoom have been updated to provide a single estimated processing time at the 80th percentile, in line with USCIS updates. This enhancement ensures that the processing times displayed within INSZoom are accurate and reflect the most current data from USCIS.
How your firm could access case processing times within INSZoom depends on whether the firm is enabled with the new receipt management interface or the legacy receipt interface in INSZoom.
A. Firms using new receipt management interface:
-
Case processing times can be accessed by navigating to case > receipt numbers from the left menu.
-
Processing times are retrieved from USCIS based on the form type, basis for filing, and service center or field office. If any of these fields are missing from the receipt, the processing time will not be displayed and will remain blank.
-
The estimated processing date in INSZoom is calculated using the receipt date and the processing time provided by USCIS. This is how the estimated processing date is calculated within INSZoom: Estimated Processing Date = Receipt Date + Processing Time from USCIS
B. Firms using legacy receipt management: Case processing times can be accessed by navigating to case > processing time.
C. Within the INSZoom reporting module, labels, and report data have been updated to reflect this change.
D. Case inquiry date is currently not integrated within the INSZoom application. Users can enquire about their cases using the USCIS processing times.
Note: Some USCIS service centers no longer accept certain forms that request a specific basis for filing. INSZoom retains these combinations of basis for filing and service centers to enable users to view historical data. When adding or updating receipts, we recommend users avoid selecting these obsolete service center combinations mentioned in the spreadsheet.
