Applicable Editions: Standard, Professional, Enterprise
Applicable Country Subscription: United States of America
Mitratech is dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency and maximizing resources for immigration practitioners by automating routine tasks and daily processes. Expanding the advantages of online filing to our users, we’ve now released support for automated electronic filing of Forms I-129 and I-907. This feature perfectly complements INSZoom’s existing H-1B Registration module which streamlines data gathering and automates the submission of H-1B registrations, making it an invaluable tool for immigration professionals.
The H-1B Registration Module offers powerful features, including flat file import for creating and updating beneficiary data with duplicate check validation, flat file import for updating H-1B registration status from myUSCIS, and the capability to automate the online filing of up to 200 H-1B registrations at once. Click here to learn more about our H-1B Registrations module.
Pairing our H-1B Registration Module with H-1B online application automation, INSZoom has effectively automated the entire lifecycle of an H-1B petition up to application filing.
Unlike other online forms, initiating the online filing of Form I-129 in INSZoom will present a new interface similar to creating a package for filing. This online package approach to filing Form I-129 allows us to support the various Form I-129 supplements required for different visa classifications. It is built to scale as USCIS expands support for additional visa classifications that can be requested with Form I-129.
A. Getting Started with I-129 e-Filing
INSZoom case managers on enterprise or professional editions can now e-file H-1B, H-1B1, H-1B2, and H-1B3 applications using INSZoom.
-
Navigate to Case > Forms and ensure that all required forms and supplements are drafted for the case type being prepared for filing. Please refer to the following table for a list of required forms in INSZoom based on the case type.
Case Type |
Regular |
Premium |
H-1B Specialty Occupation |
|
|
H-1B1 Chile and Singapore |
|
Premium processing is not available for H-1B1 |
H-1B2 DOD Researcher and Development Project Worker |
|
|
H-1B3 Fashion Model |
|
|
Note: Add only one instance of each required form to the Case Forms list page. This is to ensure that required data can be transferred for e-filing without conflict.
2. Begin e-filing by clicking the ‘E-FILE’ button for Form I-129 on the Case Forms page. To enable the e-file button for the existing I-129 PDF form, case managers must change the filing mode from Paper Filing to Online Filing by opening the form and switching from ‘Paper Filing Mode’ to ‘Online Filing Mode’ using the option available in the right-hand menu.
Note: You may notice that the e-file option is only available for Form I-129 and not for the supplement forms. This is by design and the relevant supplement forms will be automatically included in the next step based on the case type, as long as those forms are included and drafted in the Case Forms section.
3. Case managers are redirected to the ‘Package for Online Filing’ interface to review all necessary forms and e-file the application.
B. Package for Online Filing Interface
-
The ‘Package for Online Filing’ interface looks like the existing package for filing interface that users may already be familiar with when paper filing forms using INSZoom.
-
In this interface, the case type/classification and processing type are by default populated based on the petition category and processing type, if previously defined for the case. Case managers can modify these values depending on the actual case type being prepared for filing.
-
The interface automatically selects the appropriate forms based on the case type/ classifications and processing types. All required forms are listed on the left pane, while the drafted forms are listed on the right pane.
-
If all the required forms are not drafted, the case manager will be prompted to review the case forms to continue with e-filing.
Important Note: Please be aware that Form I-129H(H1) is not supported for this e-filing. To proceed, you should include and draft Form I-129H within the INSZoom Case Forms list.
C. E-Filing
-
To e-file this application, click the 'E-FILE' button in the package for online filing interface.
-
The data from all forms on the right pane will be packaged and transferred to the myUSCIS portal using INSZoom e-filing desktop add-on.
For first-time users, the e-filing Desktop Add-on needs to be installed on the user's computer. After installation, users can seamlessly e-file the I-129 form to myUSCIS.
If you are using the Desktop Add-on for the first time, click on ‘download and start INSZoom Add-on’ to download the installation file. Once the file is downloaded, double-click the file to begin the installation of the add-on and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation. For more information on e-filing add-on, refer to the e-Filing Desktop Add-on Help article.
-
The online package created during Form I-129 e-filing can be viewed in Case > Package for Filing or Case Forms > Package for filing, marked with the tag ‘Online Application Package.’
