IMS v5.2 Release Highlights
Main highlight #1: Multi-Select Dropdown Attributes
Multi-select dropdown attributes are now available throughout IMS. This new datatype behaves similarly to standard restricted value dropdowns, with the addition that a user may select multiple options from the list rather than just one. This type of attribute is available to use in records, workflows, views, bulk operations, rules and generally everywhere where record attributes are used.
Main highlight #2: Copy Record
A range of components around the IMS website have been rewritten to be more responsive and to look more in-line with other ClusterSeven and Microsoft products. This includes the BU listing, the Tasks listings, the Inactive Records page and the Views grid, among others.
Main highlight #3: New JavaScript Rules Engine
The engine that runs JavaScript rules on the IMS server has been replaced. Existing rules will work as they do in IMS 5.1, unless they use the lodash or moment utility libraries, which are no longer supported. The new engine improves on security and performance, as well as allowing rules to be written using newer JavaScript language features.
