Public Access Dashboard

Public Access Dashboard

CMO introduces Public Access functionality where the users can access the dashboards without logging into the web application. The users who are given public access roles by system admin only can view the Public Access dashboards in the web application.

Any user can use the public access option to report any event/finding/action using the public access dashboards.

Users can utilize the following features available in the public access dashboards.

  1. Dashboards
  2. QR code
  3. Widgets

How to Visit Public Access Dashboard

The user must visit CMO web application login page to access Public Access functionality.

  1. Go to web application login page.

2. Click on Public Access button. This action will take the user to public access dashboard page.

Note: Login details like user name and password are not required for this action.

3. In the public access dashboard screen, multiple dashboards (tabs) are available and the user lands on the first dashboard when clicked on Public Access button.

4. The user can navigate through different dashboards available in the public access dashboard screen by clicking on the dashboard tabs.

 

QR Code for Public Access Dashboard

The user can also visit public access dashboard using the QR code available for each dashboard from mobile.

Steps to Visit Public Access Dashboard from Mobile

  1. Select Public Access from the login screen to access the dashboard form the web application.
  2. Go to any dashboard of your choice from the dashboard screen.
  3. Each dashboard has a Get QR Code option at the right corner of the dashboard screen.

 4. Click on the Get QR Code link. A QR Code screen pops up.

Note: The organization can take the print out of these specific QR codes for each dashboard and make it available for the employees/users to access the dashboards using mobile in case of emergencies when there are no personal computer/laptops are available. 

5. Scan the QR code from any mobile. A link appears. Click on the link or copy and paste the link in the mobile browser.

6. This action takes the user directly to the desired dashboard.

 

Widgets for Public Access Dashboard

CMO application allows few widgets to be accessed under the public access dashboards. The following list of widgets can be configured for the public dashboard access.

  • New Event/Finding/Action/User widget
  • Text Widget
  • Event Totals by Grouping
  • Events by Category
  • Count Label
  • Find Event Info
  • Key Risk Indicators
  • Shortcut Widget
  • Event Count
  • Event List
  • Events Widget

Configure Public Access Dashboard

When the public access dashboards are configured, they are visible to the users who use public access entry to report an event/finding/action. Refer to this link for more information on creating public access dashboard.

 

Responsive Web Design (RWD)

Implemented responsive web design for the public dashboard in CMO where the public dashboards can be opened in all web pages that can look good on all mobile devices. RWD is implemented for frequently used primary widgets like a Text widget, Shortcut widget, New Event/Finding/Action/User widget, New Event widget and Events List widget and also UI improvements were made to the text fields in the Action and Finding module, Event perform screen and the Question, Attachment and Reference tabs were adjusted according to the mobile screen width.
